I think a chromat-gelatine process what is stay on the
original base material while processing, opposite of the
standard carbon version (where the gelatine layer move
from the paper and need to transfer it).
The known example is the Fresson process but can be
other method(s) also for this.
I hope the normal gum bichromate is not called as a Direct
Carbon (to prevent troubles of the terminology).
