Getting knocked up

 For the record, however, in the US, getting
"knocked up" still means pregnant -- morning, noon or night.

Or WE can say, ''I got knocked up ( brought to answer the front door) at the unearthy hour of 4 am because the guy next door said I was parked accross his drive-way preventing him from getting out.''
