I have a question for any American members of this list: How much is a box of
polaroid type 51 film for the 4 by 5? Up here it is about $65 for a box of
20 sheets. A ballpark figure is all I'm interested in. I have a feeling that it
sels for half the Canadian price down there.

Today I took a polaroid that had been underexposed and experimented with it.
I had not smeared on the goop (laquer). I took the print and soaked it in
hot water. I then peeled off the paper backing and put the wet emulsion layer
on a piece of water-colour paper. I took it out of the water and pressed the
two together with a stack of books (out of which I should have been studying)
I think that some residual glue remained attached to the translucent
emulsion so it stuck to the paper. The effect is just interesting enough that
I may continue to experiment with it with my failed polaroids.
