In "nearby" Nova Scotia, there is a small reconstructed historical
village called Sherbrooke Village that runs an Ambrotype Studio. It is
only open during the tourist season. I visited it a couple of years
ago. The weather was not very good so they couldn't take pictures of
people but from their gallery,they can do some pretty good work.
They assured me that they were the only ambrotype studio still active
in Canada. This implies that there are more elsewhere. I could
probably dig out their address if you are interested.
