I am starting to accumulate the equipment needed to use photogravure (actually
with an eye to digitize and manipulate the resulting plate) but have not
actually _done_ any yet. I guess that I will be ready to do some in the
next month or so and will, if anyone is interested post any amusing explosions
or other mistakes I may cause.

I am interested in alternate processes because they expose some of the
different ways of seeing and I am interested in that sort of thing. (The
discussion of what exactly is represented by a photograph is something I want
to explore so I am beginning to do that by examining different ways of making
photographs and how that affects the conventions of seeing that exist. (sorry
I just wrote a final exam and my brain is still in big word mode :-)
