Just before I left on this trip I received samples of the Platine
paper (watermarked Arches Platine) and a print made on it by one of
the printers who made the Mapplethorpe Pt prints.
Anyhow, the American importer is currently negotiating with me the
possibility of including a sample of this paper with every new copy of
my upcoming book. Before this becomes available (a few weeks) there is
a pretty good chance that you will be able to buy the paper from your
favorite paper distributor anyway. You cannot get it from the
importer.
I received recently the first few hundred Palladio prints that I will
tip into the next edition of Pt book, made from internegs produced on
the Iris printer. They are very nice.
Gotta go. Should be able to read my email Monday night.
