I have just started using PVC pipes for my development tubes. They work
well and pretty fast. I attached an end cap that includes a screw on lid to
one end of the tube and this stopped the leakage problem.

I use PVC glue and putty. I rotate the tubes in a water bath.
It is a bit of a pain to saw these things. Don't use the thin pipes as
they do not keep their shape. Hope this helps. I received this idea from
another member of phopto-l and I am grateful. Sorry I lost his file.
