Anodizing aluminium

I can post it here or I can send it email to those who are interested. The
methods look workable for a home shop to me although finding a suitable dye
may be a problem.

There is a reference to anodizing in:

Jewelry: Concept and Technology by Oppi Untracht.

It was published in 1982 by Doubleday and I'm sure is out of print. Around
1000 pages of metal working information. Great book.

The method is very close to the method in the FAQ.

For you Daguerreotype people Untracht also has a brief description of a
closed mercury vapor recovery system for use with the mercury gilding process
that may be applicable to your interests in staying alive and mentally
healthy. Heating up mercury has never appealed to me although I love the Dag.
