If you use solid pigments, remember to use dust mask. I haven't done gum
printing, but I paint and make my own watercolor sometimes (it is
essentially the same thing: gum arabic + pigment). Many pigments in
watercolor are toxic, but in liquid form, you don't breath them in. But
you must exercise more caution when using them in dry form.
