Before I get too many more replies to my humbling question re:
"Gelatin-Silver" paper, let me say thank you to the many on this list who
have promptly responded, setting me straight as to the elusive and quite
exotic nature of the stuff :))) <---- *Very* sheepish grin>
Funny thing is, I'm no novice to photography and I even called an
"old salt" re: the subject before I hung my privates out on the Internet
(aahhh, the wonders of technology) -- and he advised "well, maybe the
Photographer's Formulary . . ."
So, whilst you all toil away in ignominy over these run-of the-mill
processes ie. "gum-bichromate", "platinum", "palladium", etc, I shall
retire to my darkroom and "create" some fine-art "Gelatin-Silver"
one of a kind masterpieces.
And, um, er, I'll most likely reset my lever back to the "lurk"
position.
But seriously folks, I *do* appreciate the fact that each of you
who responded did so via private email so as to help me contain my
embarrassment. Much obliged to the gentility of the group.
Best Regards,
