I know the following question doesn't really fit in this LIST but I
just didn't have luck in rec.photo groups and hope someone here can
help me.

I am building my own light-table, the material for the table top I've
been suggested to use is ACRYLITE, now this stuff somewhat expensive
and besides that is sold only by the sheet. ACRYLIC is a possible
substitute, less expensive and I can buy exactly the size I need (1/4
of a sheet).

Before I buy the ACRYLIC I would like to know what "good"
characteristics of the ACRYLITE (for this particular application)
I would be missing.

Anybody have an idea?
