I have gotten some very disappointing results scanning 4x5 black and white
camera negatives on a drum scanner and outputting them screened at 600 dpi.
The results I feel were due to me not handling the system properly. It would
be exciting to be able to manipulate the negatives in photoshop and output
them any size! Sam are you working this way? Have you compared any prints
made from screened negatives (stochastic or traditional) and same size
continuos?

I have just moved from Sweden to San Diego, Ca and I will be in the US for
six months. I am planning on taking a one-to-one digital workshop at the
Santa Fe Workshops to try to get good digital negatives.
