from Joe DePasquale "...I would appreciate any information regarding UV light
sources both commercial and homemade."

Commercial units are far too expensive. One can build one in a weekend for
far less money. For a high-intensity unit, consider the following: 24"
Phillips TLK40W Super Actinic bulbs powered by GE/Valmont 8G38885W high
output ballasts (which effectively give you 60w of power). Super Actinic
bulbs produce a narrow spectrum of light which peaks at 420 nanometers, ideal
for Pt/Pd. For about $600-650 you can build a 20x24 printer that will blow
away the commercial printers in speed. You can, of course, build less
expensive printers which are smaller and/or less powerful (ie 15W or 20W).

Universal Light Source in San Francisco carries them and will ship anywhere.
