Medieval Photography?

I have been fascinated by the current topic of this group, i.e., medieval
photography. But folks, let's get it straight. If we are about to declare
Leonardo da Vinci the inventor of photography, we are talking about
*Renaissance* photography. Now that seems at least as important to me
as whether the cathedral was located in Turine or Urine.
Sorry, I recognize this as gratutious and cluttering of netspace, but
in this I do not sleep alone.
