Several years ago, I fiddled with a monobath setup from Porter Camera
where not only was a monobath used, but there was a daylight tank where
the film (35mm) was actually developed in its cannister. Constant
aggitation was required, and even with that, the negatives had a rather
low density and less than ideal contrast. But they were printable on
multi-contrast paper usually with a 3 1/2 filter. Haven't tried it for
several years. Maybe the technology has improved.
