Though published in 1961 (and probably out of print, though you may be able
to get a copy through a specialist dealer), "Bromoil and Transfer" by G. E.
Whalley (Fountain Press, 1961) has a complete chapter on special handling
for supercoated papers. He also notes that Kentmere (back then) produced a
special non-supercoated paper for bromoil (also for carbro). Does anyone
know what happened to Kentmere? I used to buy Bromoil supplies from the late
lamented Sinclair in London, and Kentmere papers (as well as some
Portriga-Rapid surfaces were the recommended papers. The book is a terrific
reference work.
