This is a very interesting question. However, what exactly is meant by
the term "hard water?" All I know about my faucet water is that it has
a Ph of around 5.8, which puts it on the acidid side. This seems to have
no adverse results in carbon and carbro printing, as best I can discern.
In fact, in carbro I always pass the bromides through an acidic acid
rinse before mating with the sensitized tissue, and this does not cause
eroded highlights.
