banding with Epson 1270

Hi Mark and Camden,

Thanks for your suggestions.

I now recall that the way I got the banding problem to disappear quite 
some time back till its current resurfacing was at the suggestion of 
someone on this list to turn the printer off each time I was done with 
printing.

Camden, I could not locate the "Ink Configuration" section of the print 
driver. Can you navigate please?

Mark, I googled as you suggested and will scrutinize some 20,300 hits 
to see what may work.
