Yes, bleaching seems strange to me, even on double toned print (selenium and gold) I get bleaching in first 10 to 20 seconds of fixing, then stops (but density is getting back at drying).
By the way, I used concentration and length from the articles on UnblinkingEye. I will try your suggestion.

I think your fixer strenght and fixing time are both are slightly more than what you really need. I fix for 1 minute in 2% fixer. I never experienced bleaching in fixer that way.

P.S. I won't leave gold or Pt/Pd toning in favour of selenium-toning, in any circumstance... ;)
