Loris, I did mix mine for years with "clean" sodium chloride purchased from
a chemical supplier. I have made it with regular salt with no ill effects.
One should realize that the weight will not only be sodium chloride if they
choose to use table salt and adjust their scaling to reflect possible
fillers.
