Just imagine, for example, what those 1800 messages would have cost you in time if each of them had a long attachment file.I am certain that this was not delibrate, rather the result of modern e-mail clients that are very complex and can do things you don't realize they are doing. I am sure plenty of "vacation" messages went to others than this list. However, its a courtesy and wise precaution to either change to vactaion status on lists that allow it or temporarily unsubscribe from those which do not. I wonder if Karen will come back to a mailbox filled with her own vacation messages?
