Re: solarplate images up on my website

I have been very impressed with both Susan and Christina's images. I am
further behind and I do not think anyone other then me is interested in my
Stouffer step wedge results. both Solarplate and Toyobo cost the earth on
this side of the Atlantic, so I am happily experimenting with Stouffer step
wedges. there seem to be significant working differences between the two
types of plate. With Solarplate, the image and the screen have roughly equal
exposure and the non hardened part of the solarplate image is gently
scrubbed away. With Toyobo, according to the website instructions I have
followed, the image exposure is 2 minutes and the recommended screen
exposure is 6 minutes-while my results suggest 8-10 minutes. Also in the
development phase of the process, the Toyobo does not seem to need
scrubbing- a blessing actually- as there is less chance of scratching. I
have downloaded Jon Lymouth's instructions and shall study them. I am off to
visit my elderly mother for a few weeks and I hope that while I am away,
the good fairy will wave her magic wand and all problems will be solved and
when I return, I shall immediately be able to make wonderful images. Many
thanks to everyone for this very useful thread . Hellena
