Hi David,

Yes you can buy Epson 1290 in Turkey. It's still a current model in Europe.... BTW, look for HP B9180 too (see: http://www.hybridphoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252) or newer Epson models... (Since I had trouble in finding replacement original ink carts for 1290 recently, so presumably it will be harder and harder to find original inks for this relatively old printer...)

Hi Loris,

I got back to Fethiye last night to find my printer damaged beyond repair!! Eeek! Is it possible to buy epson printers in Istanbul? I can onlyy hands buy HP printers here and not photo printers. I need to lay my hands on a 1290. Any ideas?
