Hi Carole, I paint outdoors and usually spend 2 or 3 hours at a time
doing so.  I use a wonderfully cheap folding seat that can be found at
discount stores usually for less than $20.  There are even 2 heights
available.  We have a few in our music room also, for cello and guitar
playing they're great.  They're black, folding, and have a slightly
padded seat.  If I can find one online I'll post a link for you.
