Re: Work in the alt exhibit- or what photo-alt means to me



I probably should be a bit more specific about techniques in photo-alt.
There are certain visual qualities about photo-alt that I absolutely love.
The tonal, textual and even colour values are so different from those of
conventional silver based photography. Very often , the medium used such as
various etching paper surfaces help create something wonderful.  For me,
these tonal values are very beautiful and are the defining quality in
photo-alt. I am not too much of a purist as to how to achieve the result. A
misty eyed view but there you have it. Hellena
