Re: Bleach-development with gum recipe



Hi

I'm still plodding away doing test prints, pulling and pushing all variables to understand Gum printing. 
Frustrating most of the time as its slow and I hardly get much time....I get flaking in highlights!! Thats another story...
Anyhow in my experiences, I have to agree with Katharine that water does play a roll in the overall factor of printing.
Plus looking at the Katharine's example pic of Carmen I also have similar results. Also added water thins outs the emulsion and find that its easier to apply...well considering how much thick gum is in your emulsion in the first place.

For my understanding, with tri colour printing, i'm presuming bleach development wont work for each layer, as the bleach would change any previous layers put on? What happens if you were to apply a gelatin coat on top of each layer, would this seal that layer?
