Probably not...

If your silver gelatin print was toned with a sulfiding agent
or at least with a selenium toner, the chance of silver
migrating is very slim and I'm more inclined to the light
theory than silver migration theory.

Different material, different condition, therefore I can't
compare them meaningfully. However, testing whether the ghost
image was due to the partial transfer of the image or
otherwise should be fairly straightforward.
