Are these lantern slides (from the glass and size larger than
projectors it sounds like it)? I've digitized quite a few glass
slides/negatives/plates and to be honest, they are one of the easiest
items to digitize at high quality because they lay so flat. Depending
upon the thickness of the mounts you may need to have them scanned by
someone with a manually focusing scanner (like the Epson 10000XL for
instance). We do this where I work so if you can send me the
dimensions and your resolution requirements offlist I can send you a
quote to have my department scan them though we are not taking on new
projects until October 1st.
