Idly musing about this today, it occurred to me that it's probably also worth noting that though I still seldom see fisheyes, I never saw a fisheye, with any pigment or any range of pigment. concentration, in all the years I printed on unsized paper. It's only been since I started printing on a paper that requires sizing, that I've occasionally encountered them.

I concur. (Both with seldom encountering fisheyes, and with it being more likely a problem with the sizing than with the gum mix.)
