We have the V700 @ school . . very good. V750 does use kami fluid and some tests I've seen on the web show it aids to obtain a clearer/sharper scan. For 8x10 however I'd be hard pressed to see how it could improve anything by using the fluid. Jack F

The Epson V700 gets rave reviews from trusted colleagues, though I have no personal experience with the scanner. The V7500 adds Fluid Mount capabilities to the mix if you feel that's a nice feature. They both come with holders for 35mm negatives, 35mm slides, medium format and 4" x 5," plus a film area guide for 8"x10."
Hope this helps!

What do y’all recommend as a substitute? Something that can scan film up to 8X10? And comes with holders for 35mm, 2 ¼, and 4X5? CHEERS!
