We have the V700 @ school .  . very good.
V750 does use kami fluid and some tests I've seen on the web show it aids to obtain
a clearer/sharper scan. For 8x10 however I'd be hard pressed to see how it could improve
anything by using the fluid.

Hey Bob,

The Epson V700 gets rave reviews from trusted colleagues, though I have no personal experience with the scanner. The V7500 adds Fluid Mount capabilities to the mix if you feel that's a nice feature. They both come with holders for 35mm negatives, 35mm slides, medium format and 4" x 5," plus a film area guide for 8"x10."

Hope this helps!

I love my Epson 4990 scanner because it can scan up to 8X10 film.  I
recommended it to someone but discovered that it was discontinued.  What do
y’all recommend as a substitute?  Something that can scan film up to 8X10?
And comes with holders for 35mm, 2 ¼, and 4X5?
