perhaps a LEVEL 2 PERSON?
there may be options in the printer drivers that would allow more ink to go on- but these may not be readily apparent.
HP supposedly formulates their own inks- and unless there is an alt person somewhere out there that already solved the problem
you may be on your own. Sometimes maximum ink deposited is controlled by a choice of drying time or some such- so choosing a longer drying time could allow more ink to go on.

I didn't- but the decision I made has been a false economy. I bought an HP Photosmart Pro B8350 and the problem is that I cannot get a decent black on transparencies. I do not even get a decent black when inverting canvas size. Does anyone have any suggestions as how to solve this problem or shall I just bite the bullet and get an Epsom? Oh for the return of the 1290. Any suggestions as to which printer bearing in mind cost considerations and the fact that I don't work larger than A3 plus. All help will be greatly appreciated. Hellena
