So am I having a solitary experience with Platine here?

I recently ran across a very bad batch of Platine here in Chicago and have been going through the archives to see if anyone else has had this issue.  No one has reported any recent issues as far as I could find via searches.

My issue was very uneven coating using a coating tube and horribly blotchy prints.  I had a very old batch here that had worked just fine and when I ran out, I purchased some from Pearl Art Supply here in town.  Even the coating side of the paper was different with more texture before coating where you might suspect you were coating the wrong side!

Fortunately I only bought a few sheets and was under-charged at the register so I'm not out much except 2 days of trying to make the #$%# thing work and chemistry.  The paper cleared just fine w/muriatic>wash>hypo clear>then final washing.

So I am assuming others here are doing just fine w/this paper and I'm wondering which suppliers were used and how recently they purchased it.

Thanks!

Eric
