Don't use a hairdryer and print as soon as your paper is not shiny anymore.
(Approx. 5 to 10 mins. depending on the environment.) But you definitely
need to sandwich the paper between impermeable and transparent (also to UV)
media. Exposing humid paper, may give you have slightly better dmax and more
open shadows too... (Depending to the conditions.)
BTW, 5/8" between the lamps (lamp diameter 38mm/1.5") and lamps 3" above the
frame glass won't give you light banding. This is my setup and it's very
even. Compare your specs to mines to see if there's significant deviation...
