Gotcha Mark, Thanks. My problem was(is) as you say. I exposed the step tablet 'til the first two steps merged( I think that was about 180 seconds) but at that exposure time, no colour would give me paper white. Only all colours would do that. I'll do as you say and get back. Thanks David
