We have both two 4800's and one 4880 at school and run then Leopard
(10.5.x). I have not run a comparison test to check on the difference. I
haven't switched to the PDN system yet because I have a good working
relationship with an older PowerPC iBook (10.4) and the Quadtone RIP (2.5)
which has an EvenTone dithering pattern as a drop down option. But if it
will help with your determination on the capability of the two different ink
sets to hold back UV, I can run a couple of test grids.

I had an issue come up with a MacBook Pro running 10.5.x and Quadtone RIP
that I haven't figured out yet. It hangs up sending the file to the printer
which is a 2200.
