[alt-photo] Re: new MFA program in alt!

DEAR COR,
	You are right, no arguing taste but I didn't easily dismiss Twin
Peaks or any of his films...I forced myself to sit through them so I could
pour informed bile over them...and they are products of his ego and
fascination with over stated acting and sensationalism.  There are
soooooooooooooooo many young film makers who would have produced so much
better films with the money thrown at Lynch to make those...films.
	I studied film making at NYU, directed TV commercials, worked on
some feature film sets and have taught film making at the university level
so I guess I have some context...which doesn't say that anyone else's
opinion isn't just as valid as mine.  
	I would be very interested in Steve Shapiro's opinion.  He used to
be on this list...I don't know if he still is but he worked in the film
industry for years.

Each to its own, Bob, I just think you too easily dismiss Twin Peaks,
Wild at Hert or Mulholland Drive let alone a surprisingly "normal" movie
(but wonderfull) as Straigth Story..the man has something to tell,
albeit not always too clear..too easy to say the blind is leading the
blind
