Ha! That's true enough.  He is has been trying pretty hard to top Blue Velvet for what, about 25 years?

But even bad David Lynch can leave me with the feeling that there must be something I am missing if only I really thought about it a little harder. The faux-david-lynch stuff we are talking about leaves me with a pretty clear sense that I not missing much of anything.
