[alt-photo] Only Slightly Off-Topic (recycling cotton products)

Does anyone on the list know if the cotton rag products we use (mat board, paper, etc) qualify as recyclable materials? We're on single-stream recycling so all the "qualified" stuff goes into one tub. I don't want to make hassles if cotton does not qualify as paper (and it sure isn't metal or plastic).
