If you use external devices like drives and scanners you may want to 
wait until Mac offers a system with USB 3 or Firewire 1600 hardware. 
Data transfer rates would be significantly faster.

No definite information from Apple about when they will start putting 
USB 3 hardware in their systems.  There are rumours that the next Mac 
Pro's will have it.
