More clarification on this issue...this would take SO much less time if we were all in a cafe chatting away instead of writing!!

Tom, the "dumb" question point was said by me, not Mike.  I was the one calling it a dumb question and Mike sent it back in quotations to emphasize that it was my words, not his.

Also, apparently Herschel was the originator of the name "argyrotype", not Mike, so I stand corrected.

Anyone have a copy of his original BJP article on the process?

Now with all this preamble, I cannot wait to have my students working this process this semester!! Should be great fun.
