'Early Popular Visual Culture' is increasing to Four Issues in 2010.
>From 2010, Early Popular Visual Culture will publish four issues each year.
Since the journal's launch in 2003, its articles have introduced new perspectives on the emergence of our modern visual culture, stimulating research and interdisciplinary studies in relation to all forms of popular visual culture before 1930.

The journal has an exciting program of themed issues planned for 2010 and beyond, including:
- Intermediality in Early and Silent Cinema 
- Instruction, Amusement and Spectacle: Popular Shows and Exhibitions
1800-1914
- Victorian Science and Popular Culture
- Early Animation
- Barnum and American Showmen in Europe
