[alt-photo] Replacement inks and CIS

Does anyone know anything about the InkRepublic i-INK2 continuous ink 
system product? Considering I have to order my replacement cartridges, I 
figure it might be worth my while to have something that lasts a little 
longer. I also found Piezography K7 inks as well, but they're almost 
double the cost...maybe there's a reason they're more expensive.

Any reason to avoid a CIS and continuously purchase little plastic boxes 
that just end up in the trash (there's no recycling here).
