How many bucks do you have to spend? I have both an i1 with profile maker 5
and a Datacolor print fix pro and their more updated version Studio ??? . I
mostly use the i1 with PM5. Both can be used with QTR to make profiles. I
would suggest the i1 if money is more free flowing.

They do have other uses and mine, the Color Savvy, was used to read
patches for ICC
profile making with pigment inks. We also used it as a densitometer to
determine the
D-Max of our blacks on various substrates. I've been told by many this
is a very accurate
tool, which we found to be the case.
You ought to check the web to substantiate this and our unit sits on a
shelf if you wish to
purchase but, really, depending on your use of it, do good research to
see if this is what
you'd like.
