The only time I ever got that was when I added gold chloride to my emulsion-- some years ago.  I think I must have used too much, but even when I used less, I couldn't seem to eliminate that faint pink color in the highlights, so I didn't use it anymore/  Maybe there are other reasons for it, but that was my experience.
