to using Kami fluid w/an Epson flatbed scanner. Mounting fluids are more
useful for smaller formats and or drum scanning. Not using fluid w/your
8x10s will make the process a little easier as you've already got a serious
amount of work ahead of you as it is.
Kami is a good choice though for the flatbed. In the drum scanning world,
there's discussion as to whether or not their fluids craze the acrylic drums
of drum scanners as some folks have had that happen and many others not.
When a drum is crazed, it becomes useless. *If *you can find a replacement,
it will most likely be very expensive. Afaik Kami won't harm film.
There is also Lumina products you can check out.
