What I've observed over the years is that the term of choice for  
inkjet prints will stay in favor just as long as it takes the buying  
public to catch on that the term means "inkjet print" and then a new  
name has to be scrounged up to obscure the fact that inkjet prints  
are, well, inkjet prints.
