Bob, that may be more than you need to know and more specifics than they
want to give up. A broad question which they may be more willing to answer
is whether you should have any concerns based on your location, or the more
likely intended location of your prints. The specific UV info may start to
tread on trade secrets and may also include what paper and ink are doing
together.

Trying to matching to Epson inks ability to block UV for anything other than
permanence, I don't think would be covered. We all have our own UV sources
plus glass conditions. Any change in ink requires a new test to see how it
will affect the negs.

DEAR ERIC & JEREMY,
You both make good points though, as I buy my printer cartridges
from US suppliers, the pigments would be the same as others in the US.
I will try to contact LD. For what should I ask? Absorption
spectra of their pigments in both the visible and UV regions?
		CHEERS!

Don't assume Epson ink made for the US, is the same as China, or Europe. The
environmental concerns are not the same so neither should the ink. Bob, I'd
contact the LD folks and ask them if their inks are formulated for your
conditions.

Do they formulate their pigments that they block UV light in the same
distribution/factor as the Epson pigments? I'll bet some sort of re-tuning
your diginegs will be in order, too. Can LD provide any authoritative data
about their own pigments? If there were any positive data as such I'd
imagine they would be more than happy to provide to every customer.
