This is what I mentioned to you when you visited, Matt. I do use PVA
(just one thin coat) on mine, for the second and subsequent layers--
works like a charm-- but I'm not sure why you don't just try this.
When I used gelatin and glyoxal, in the past, I would have those
inconsistency problems at times, too. When I switched to using
Fabriano soft-press and-- well-- took all of Paul's suggestions
(thanks again, Paul!), my printing-- as well as just the work flow--
improved greatly.
