DEAR CHRISTINA,
      Thanks for your kind words!
Yup, it took a LONG time to scan the negs and
Frotoshop the files to CMYK. I proofed a few CMYK files
myself, made adjustments to get what I wanted, then
adjusted everything to those settings. I then proofed the
rest and sent the proofs along with the flash drive to
Hong Kong. It was a digitally sobering experience to see
15 years of work on one small 16 gig flash drive! At
least the pile of proofs looked like SOMETHING! LOL!
I had hoped to reproduce that subtle, almost chamois
beige of my palladium rich PT/PD mix on COT 320 developed
in hot (100F) pot ox but the proofs came back a little
more saturated (richer) in color than my original
intention. Everything was so close to what I wanted that
my instructions were to reduce the color saturation 1 or 2
% or, if they can't guarantee that level of control, LEAVE
IT ALONE...which is what they did. I feel it is a
beautiful book but just a bit richer in color than the
real prints...which is not necessarily a bad thing. I am
almost tempted to try to match my future PT/PD prints to
the book!!! LOL, again!
So, in my case, I didn't want neutral blacks so I
didn't have that worry.
                    CHEERS!
                         BOB
