DEAR PAUL,
Let's use systems analysis and start from your end product and work
back. What are you going to print from the enlarged neg? PT/PD?
Silver-gelatin? Gum? I don't do gum but I know that the first two
processes need very different negs. You need to know what density range
makes the print you like.
Then you decide which developer yields this with the direct positive
film that Robert recommended:

Photo Warehouse
http://www.ultrafineonline.com/ulcotodufi.html

Ultrafine Continuous Tone Duplicating Film 20" x 24" / 25 Sheets
Availability: Usually ships the next business day.
Item Number: 246-20243
Price: $109.95

The film that I have used similar to this had a relatively short
latitude so my camera original negs couldn't be too contrasty or the film
wouldn't copy them without significant burning and dodging.
I also experimented for a while trying to find the best dev. My
suggestion is that you get some of this film in a smaller (less expensive)
size, test it, then commit to the larger size you might want if you like the
results.

Gotta go out of office for a few hours.
		CHEERS!

Aha! I'd like to make a neg from a neg...ie enlarge a 35mm neg onto a piece
of film and have that be my neg for contact printing in alt processes.

If so, what are the pitfalls of this film? And how do I need to process it?
